Wallet Theft | South Hill
Pierce County Sheriff’s detectives need your help to identify the suspect responsible for theft and fraud.
On Feb. 9, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., the pictured suspect stole an 81-year-old woman’s wallet while she was shopping at Safeway, located at 13308 Meridian E in South Hill. The suspect followed the victim through the store for about 30 minutes before he stole her wallet while her back was turned.
After the theft, the suspect went to two different stores and purchased $1,200 worth of gift cards using the victim’s credit card.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 30's, 5'6" - 5'8", with a medium build and a full beard. He was wearing a tan Adidas ball cap, a gray Puma sweatshirt, greenish-tan sweatpants, and black shoes with white soles and blue heels.
