Fatal Hit and Run

Pierce County Sheriff's investigators need your help to identify the suspect responsible for a fatal
hit-and-run collision.
On Sept. 30, 2022, at 8:10 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian fatality
collision in the 12900 block of Valley Ave E near Sumner. According to witnesses, the victim, a 30-
year-old male, had been walking on the side of the road shortly before the collision. The
investigation determined that the victim was in the middle of the eastbound lane when he was
struck. The driver fled.
After reviewing surveillance video, investigators believe the victim was struck by the pictured small
white SUV.
