Unsolved Homicide - 2000

Victim Ernesto Hernandez Almonte

Pierce County Sheriff's detectives need your help to identify the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of 18-year-old Ernesto Hernandez Almonte.

At 4:15 a.m. on September 9th, 2000, the body of Ernesto Hernandez Almonte was found by a passerby along the side of the road in the 4300 block of 128th St. E. in South Hill.  The victim was deceased as a result of two gunshot wounds to the head.

Detectives believe Almonte was involved in narcotics distribution and this may have been a factor in his murder.  Detectives are looking for information on the identity of any persons involved in Almonte's murder and/or information on Almonte's whereabouts prior to the discovery of his body.
