Armed Robbery

University Place Convenience Store Robbery

The University Place Police Department needs your help to identify the suspect responsible for an armed robbery at a convenience store. 

At 3:52 a.m. on Tuesday September 8, 2020, an unidentified suspect entered the 7Eleven store located in the 5500 block of Orchard St. W. in University Place.  The suspect paced around the store and selected several food and cigarettes from the shelves, then placed the items on the counter.  As the clerk rang up the items, the suspect grabbed the bag of merchandise and ran from the store. 

When a clerk followed the suspect out of the store, the suspect displayed a handgun and threatened the clerk before running away toward a nearby apartment complex. 

The unidentified suspect appears to be a white male with possibly auburn/brown hair.  He was seen wearing a black bandana, a white shirt, tan pants, black and gray Nike shoes, and a red and black Cincinnati Reds baseball hat.
